As Strategic Buyer, you will be navigating the complex world of global commodity markets to fuel our rapid scale-up. You will own your portfolio, from deep-dive market analysis to high-stakes negotiations, ensuring that our production remains resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective.

You will report directly to our Head of Procurement, working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where your strategic decisions directly impact our bottom line and our mission to decouple chocolate from deforestation.

A Taste of What to Expect

Own and manage an assigned portfolio, constantly scouting for alternative suppliers on current product optimizations and future innovations
Track and analyze markets (specifically fats & oils, sunflower, and grains) to stay ahead of global trends and volatility
Drive strategic decision-making in sourcing and investments, balancing risk with the opportunity to scale efficiently
Partner closely with Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality Management to ensure our ingredients meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability
Identify risks and opportunities by providing early warnings and trend forecasts

The Perfect Recipe of Skills & Experience

Procurement Professional: With a significant track record in strategic purchasing. You bring solid knowledge of commodity markets (grains, fats & oils) or a proven ability to master complex, volatile markets and a hunger to dive deep into the world of food commodities
Analytical Excellence: You bring a strong commercial background and love turning complex market data into clear, visible format that guides strategic decisions
Market Intuition: You understand how global markets work, from physical supply chains to the dynamics of raw material fluctuations
Ownership & Drive: You are a proactive "doer" who doesn’t wait for instructions. You thrive in a demanding, direct environment and take full responsibility for your results
Creative Problem Solver: You think outside the box to find creative solutions to sourcing bottlenecks or supply chain challenges
Confident Negotiator: You have proven that you can lead tough, face-to-face discussions and possess the confidence to hold your ground with international stakeholders
You have full professional fluency in English
