Senior Accounting Manager (f/m/d) Scalable Solutions

As Senior Accounting Manager, you will transform our finance function from a manual operation into an automated data engine that powers strategic decision-making. You will own our full accounting cycle while building the scalable infrastructure that allows Planet A Foods to grow efficiently and compliantly. As the company expands, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own accounting team.

You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with our Lead FP&A, external tax advisors, and operational teams across the company.

• Drive monthly and annual financial closures and consolidations with a focus on "Fast Close" automation

• Own full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR/GL) by implementing smart workflows that eliminate manual entry

• Lead the evaluation, implementation, and continuous optimization of our ERP ecosystem from an Accounting perspective

• Streamline VAT and tax reporting through integrated system logic and digital filing interfaces, replacing manual processes with automated compliance

• Design and manage payment workflows to optimize cash flow, enhance customer experience, and maintain operational bank relations

• Act as the primary interface for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities, moving towards a "Touchless Accounting" vision

• Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance, with a background in Startups, Scaleups, or Consulting

• You have built or significantly improved accounting processes from the ground up, ideally in a company that had no system in place or was transitioning to automation

• You have selected and implemented at least one accounting (related) or ERP system end-to-end

• Solid command of German Accounting & Tax standards (German GAAP), DATEV, modern Automation Tools, ERP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus

• Genuine enthusiasm for AI workflows and process optimization

• Accurate, detail-oriented, and proactively self-organized. You spot inefficiencies before they become problems

• Full professional fluency in German and English
